Shiatsu with Lys
I work with the body as a living story.
My work often explores inner balance through the spine with attention to the Kidney Qi. As well as posture, stress support and the deeper connections between our personal, emotional and ancestral stories.
Shiatsu allows a unique way of recognising the patterns held within us and offers a space for movement and awareness. When seen through this Traditional Chinese medicine diagnostic system, I believe Shiatsu is a valuable somatic practice.
I have been practising Shiatsu since 2007, developing a way of working that brings together traditional Shiatsu with movement, somatic practice, nervous system support and embodied mentoring.
My approach is intuitive, grounded and personalised, drawing on different aspects of my experience to meet what is present for each person.
Each session is an invitation to listen more closely to your body, restore balance and reconnect with the strength and wisdom that already lives within you.
I run regular Shiatsu clinics in Glastonbury and around the Somerset area, please contact me to book a session.

Qi Gong with Lys
My Qi Gong courses offer a chance to slow down, breathe, move and reconnect with the body’s energy in a simple and accessible way.
There is space to explore the movements, their relationship to the meridians and the deeper qualities they can awaken, while developing a practice that you can continue to return to long after the course has ended.
I have been exploring energy-based movement since the beginning of my Shiatsu training, working with exercises connected to the meridian system.
I began formally teaching Qi Gong in 2018, and over the years my practice has grown to include both traditional forms and sequences I have developed through my own experience and exploration.
I run five- or six-week courses, usually twice a year, with each course building towards learning a complete Qi Gong sequence.
Courses are run in the spring and autumn each year for more information on the next course please contact me.
